Welcome to the new web hosted site
Dear Readers,
I’m glad to announce that Shah’s Ramblings has now completed its shift and is now powered by WordPress. So its sayonara to Blogspot no thanks to all that disruption to my both of my blogsites this past one week. Thanks to the clever people at WordPress for coming up with a simple way and effortless way to import all of my previous posts from Blogspot. So now all of my previous posts from the past two years can be found here complete with all the comments everyone left.
After searching online for the best webhosting deal available, I decided to host my blog with the guys at Senihost which I found had the most cost saving solution. But what really impressed me with this company was their excellent customer support services which provides 24 hour assistance with all issues regarding the web hosting. I signed up with them after getting an SMS reply confirming that there should be no problems transferring my new domain name to their server. After signing up, I discovered several difficulties installing the WordPress software at the server but several phone calls to their support staff was all it took to get things running smoothly. Thanks a lot to Shahzan the really patient and helpful dude at Senihost for his help today. This is definitely the webhosting company to use if you’re thinking of getting one.

So I’m sure after today there won’t be any more disruptions to the blog. Whoever that person is out there with the itchy hands who repeatedly disrupted the old blogs, I’m sure he’s dying with envy right now after discovering he only succeeded in making the blog a lot better now… And what a great way to start Maal Hijrah this year than with this brand new blog. Here’s to bigger and better pictures, more makan-makan reviews, more fun trips and travels and more great times hanging out with good friends going out and about in KL.

is it easy to
1. transfer from blogspot to wordpress.
2. set the domain and set wordpress to the domain name server
or do we have to be a doctor or a rocket scientist to do it? how easy from 1 to 10.

oh another thing, i have a blogspot and i have a wordpress too, can i incorporate all my date from blogspot to wordpress without loosing information from any of those two blogs?
Transferring from blogspot to wordpress memang kacang je – On your WordPress dashboard, go to Manage then click on Import. Then select Blogger where you’ll need to enter your blogspot username and password. After that all of your blogspot blogs (if you have more than one) will be displayed in a window & you only need to click on which one you want to import to your wordpress blog. At a click of a button, WordPress imports all the Blogger blogpostings and comments. Their website mentioned that pictures won’t get uploaded but all of mine were. However my YouTube and Blogger video links weren’t imported. And yes as you can see in my blog all the dates and times of the posts and comments are retained when you import those posts.
