Tuaran Crocodile Farm
Finally got around to uploading some of the pics taken a few months ago at the crocodile farm in Tuaran, one of three crocodile farms in the country run by the same company. This farm in Tuaran happens to be the largest of the three, the other two being the ones in Sandakan and Langkawi.
Despite their enormous sizes and ferocious appearance, the crocodiles seemed docile and dormant. However you can catch them in their natural agressive behaviour during feeding times which is the best time to visit.
Aikk… Buaya pun ada jugak yang camni? ![]()

If you get easily bored of seeing hundreds of the reptiles floating aimlessly and quietly in the pools, there also happens to be a lot of other more interactive encounters with different species at the pools near the entrance as well as at the minizoo.
Several times a day, the staff at the farm put on a brief show exhibiting their courage and skills in interacting with the crocodiles.
At the Murut longhouse, traditional performances are held several times a day, after which guests are invited to join in and learn the moves as well as have their photos taken in traditional costumes.
And finally just before leaving, stop by at the shop at the front for some items to remind you of your visit to the farm…..
…..such as some frozen crocodile meat…..
…..or perhaps a RM30,000 crocodile skin handbag
